Author Guidelines
The Indian Journal of Advanced Studies (IJAS) invites original scholarly contributions in Arts and Humanities, Science and Technology, Commerce and Management, and related interdisciplinary areas.
Authors are requested to read these guidelines carefully before submitting a manuscript.
1. Originality
Manuscripts must represent original scholarly work, must not infringe the rights of others, and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere while being evaluated by IJAS. Any substantial overlap with previously published work must be appropriately disclosed.
2. Article Types
Subject to the journal's approved scope and editorial policy, submissions may include:
-
Original research articles
-
Review articles
-
Short research communications
-
Scholarly conceptual or theoretical papers
The journal should list only those article types it is prepared to accept.
3. Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts should be clearly organised, logically presented, and written in appropriate academic language. Authors should include a descriptive title, abstract, keywords, main text, references, and any applicable tables, figures, appendices, and supplementary material.
The required abstract length, keyword count, word limit, formatting style, and reference style should be specified in the journal's official manuscript template.
4. Author Information
The submission should include the full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, and the corresponding author's valid email address. Author contributions and other declarations should be supplied where required.
5. Research Ethics
Authors must comply with applicable research ethics requirements. Research involving human participants, animals, confidential records, or sensitive personal information must meet the relevant ethical and legal requirements. Ethical approval and informed consent should be documented where applicable.
6. Tables, Figures, and Permissions
Tables and figures must be numbered and titled appropriately. Sources should be acknowledged. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material where necessary.
7. References and Citations
All sources cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list, and references must correspond to citations in the text. Authors should follow the journal's prescribed citation and referencing style.
8. Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted through the official IJAS manuscript submission portal. Authors should upload all required files and complete the applicable declarations.
9. Editorial Assessment and Peer Review
Submissions may undergo an initial editorial screening for scope, originality, completeness, and compliance with submission requirements. Manuscripts considered suitable will proceed according to the journal's approved peer-review procedure.
10. Editorial Decision
Possible decisions include acceptance, revision, or rejection. Acceptance is subject to the journal's editorial decision and completion of any required publication formalities.
11. Proofreading and Publication
Authors may be asked to review proofs and verify the accuracy of names, affiliations, references, tables, figures, and other publication details before final publication.
12. Author Responsibility
Authors are responsible for the accuracy of their submissions, appropriate attribution of sources, the integrity of the reported research, and compliance with the journal's policies.
Please consult the journal's current policies and manuscript template before submission. Any specific technical requirements and publication charges will be communicated transparently through the official journal website.
